Well, if you are reading this newsletter, then I will assume that you survived yet another Christmas
Season! I sincerely hope that you had a wonderful holiday with family and friends. Now that the
presents have all been opened, the stockings are off the chimney, the dog has thrown up, Grandpa
has lost a filling on the hard tack candy, and most of the turkey and ham are gone (although no one
remembered to take that 5-lb. bowl of potato salad out of the frig), we can now look forward to 2010!
"Thank You" to everyone who donated to the Christmas Fund this year for our valued employees.
It was truly appreciated.
Of note
.we are starting a new Century. Do you all recall 2000 and how worried everyone was about
the millennium. Our computers were to shut down, records were to be wiped out, and everyone was
stocking up on water and duct tape. Ladies and Gentlemen - that was 10 years ago!!! We are fine!!
Lesson learned????
I am personally amazed that this is 10 years later. Where does the time go? Did you know that on
January 1, 2000, a monumental event took place at the Pleasant Valley Country Club? A hole in one,
on hole #4-the first hole in one recorded in the new millennium. That person, was the one and only,
Lee Dolfi, witnessed by Mr. P., Clo Angelicchio and John Leancu.
NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS
We make 'em! We break 'em! Here are a couple of mine
u Be kind to your fellow competitors u Don't concede any putts
u Put all balls in a hole u Putt them all out u Goodwill to fellow golfers
NEW YEAR'S SUGGESTIONS TO ALL MEMBERS:
u Resolve to participate in all the club events
u No Tiger Wood jokes - and if you want to act like him - consult with president first
Of course, after the first hole, the "We make 'em! We break 'em" will quickly become
"We Made 'em, We Broke 'em - Especially with the threesome I play with!!!
Our Club House will re-open on Tuesday, January 12th - all fresh and clean
